This is how Winners are Made

Life is tough, that’s a given. When you stand up, you’re gonna be shoved back down. When you’re down, you’re gonna be stepped on. My advice to you doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles. It’s no secret, you’ll fall down, you stumble, you get pushed, you land square on my face. And every time that happens, you get back on your feet. You get up just as fast as you can, no matter how many times you need to do it. Remember this, success has been and continues to be defined as getting up one more time than you’ve been knocked down. If experience has taught me anything, it’s that nothing is free and living ain’t easy. Life is hard, real hard, incredibly hard. You fail more often than you win, nobody is handing you anything. It’s up to you to puff up your chest, stretch your neck and overcome all that is difficult, the nasty, the mean, the unfair. You want more than what you’ve now, prove it! You want beat the very best out there that is, get out there and earn it! Once you decide that, you’ll know where it is you want to be, then you won’t stop pushing forward until you get there! That’s how winners are made. At the end of the day, success is what we all want. We all wanna win, and the race will be won. There is no question about that. So c’mon, get out on top, run faster, dream bigger, live better than you ever have before. This is in you. You can do this. Do it for yourself. Prove it to yourself.

Laziness makes us better

The highlight of the first lecture was when Professor Marcelo Ang displayed many inventions. At that moment, I really could not help appreciating human’s creativity. However, after going through those inventions again, I came to realize that it was our laziness that motivated us.

I remember quite clearly that one of the inventions is a new type of chopsticks with a fan hanging on them to help cool down the noodles. Obviously, the fact proves that people now were too lazy to even blow cold the hot noodles and attempts to find a substitute which was called “invention” in order to save their energy.

From Prof Benjamin K. Sovacool’s point of view, technology has to work out based on the reality or the needs of society. In my opinion, one of the needs of society is our desire to be lazier tomorrow. Actually, there is no doubt that laziness is the human’s nature. Therefore, the process of satisfying our nature is just when we show our creativity. That is why laziness can be treated as a motivation.

Theoretically, people’s laziness is dispensable to every further step of historical develpment. People were not willing to trudge, they invented automobiles and planes. People hated waiting for the carrier-pigeon for couples of weeks, they invented telephone, television and Internet. People did not want to work by hand, they invented mechanization and automation. Even for watching TV, because people were too lazy to move, they invented remote controller finally.

In fact, it is people’s attitudes that decide whether the effect of laziness works. If someone is very lazy but he still do not think of change, then his laziness will ruin him sooner or later. On the contrary, if he takes more time to work out a treatment that can simplify the difficulties in life without too much effort, he will be respected for benefiting the whole world.

In conclusion, people’s laziness can reflect what they need and help them find the way to meet their needs accordingly. As for people themselves, they can not be content to stand still and enjoy the right of being lazy. Conversely, thay have to pay their creativity for the right of being lazy.

Ether and Light

The tests will be conducted on the military field of the University. A tile tube two feet in diameter and a block long has been laid on the ground. If the experiment proves successful on this scale, larger apparatus will be set up in a field at least a quarter of a mile square, to make possible more accurate results. The experiments have to do with rays of light thrown through the large tube. Light is believed to consist of ether waves. When a body moves through a medium which is itself in motion (e. g., a swimmer in a flowing river), the speed of the moving body depends on whether it goes with, or against, or across the current. If the medium is still, it moves past the moving body at a measurable speed. Thus, if ether is motionless, it should be possible to measure its apparent rush past the earth by detecting differences in the velocity of light when it moves in the same direction as the revolution of the earth, or in the opposite direction. The earth's speed around the sun is 18½ miles a second. The speed of light is 186,330 miles a second Thus the difference in the speed ot light as it meets the earth head-on and as it follows the earth in the same direction should be easily measurable.

It is not for fun but a real challenge

This is the first time that I sit in front of my computer writing something without teachers' assigning. Actually, I dont like writing at all. it is because i fall into a habbit of unabling to sit down peacefully and do some reading. Always I go against my willingness pretending to enjoy buying books. However, money paid but value of my books wasted. In fact, I dont know why I cannot find any interest in books which is the main reason that make me stay away from the beauty of writing. For most of the books, they cannot hold my patience even the first page. sometimes, I feel sorry about myself coz books can change a person books can polish a person and even save a person. everytime when I talk to some thoughtful people, I admire their profound thoughts and beautiful words very much which makes me feel more dissapointed about myself.
That's why I challenge myself to create a blogger and start writing my thoughts which are unmature and naive at most times. However, I will be serious to my blogs and my readers. Because I should be responsable for myself. Most of my thoughts will decide what a person I am. I will not writing something that make no sense only to kill the time or prove that I still use this websites. On the contrary, I will think before write in order to be a thoughtful and mature person. That is my first blog my first promise.
